LANEIGE WATER SLEEPING MASK + SPECIAL CARE LIP SLEEPING MASK REVIEW!!!

Good evening peeps!! Today has been such a hectic and very bad day!! I had to cooperate with a very uncooperative group member in my school project, and the guitar course (which I only plan to take for a semester just for the credits) require me to buy a guitar which costs more than $100! Now I know guitars are not cheap, but to spend roe than a hundred dollars on something that I will not touch after the course is finished...it's just not very worth it!

Well! On to happier thoughts! Which is everything skincare and makeup! Comment below if the thought of makeup or skincare makes you forget about most bad happenings in your life! It does for me!

Today we are reviewing the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask and the Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask. If you guys have been following me, you will know that my lips are very, very dry. Especially my upper lips, where it has flakes and a layer of dry skin that I cannot peel off. I have tried many many ways to deal with it, even resorting to consulting a doctor, and any medicine was only a waste of money and time! So people with dry/chapped lips, gather round!

Now this is what the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask look like:

The packaging is pretty and cute as always. It is a pink, matte bottle with a screw on cap, and it fits the product inside, which is pink as well:) It comes with a spatula/applicator. Again, cute size, cute color, cute design. The spatula, surprisingly, comes with a little Laneige bag too! The back contains information like how long you can keep it after opening the seal, which is 12 months btw!

The spatula/applicator is in a little teardrop shape, and is flat and soft. It applies smoothly onto the lips as well. However, I always thought the spatulas are there for hygiene and cleanliness, and just applying onto my lips is somehow wrong for me>.< So I just take a little bit of the product, transfer it onto my clean index finger, and then apply onto my lips. That way is more hygienic, I think, and I strongly suggest a similar method of application:)

The mask itself is very hydrating, but I find the effects lasts for a day only at most. Which means you have to apply it every night to have nice, soft, smooth lips the nest morning. If you are looking for a miraculous cure for permanent soft lips, you won't find it here. This mask is only effective if you apply it every single night. I do forget sometimes, as I don't usually use lip masks, and the next day there is a layer of the same dry skin I have been suffering from for the past 2 years!

It is extremely hydrating in the night though. You can feel that it doesn't dry up and absorbed even though you are sleeping in an air-conditioned room. It, however, can be easily wiped off by your pillow, so you guys out there who has a habit of moving around while asleep...maybe don't try this XD

You have to wash it off the next morning, but you will find the softest lips in the mirror. It has a slight scent that's a little off-putting for me, but it fades quickly and I have no problem for me. It could be something to take note of if you are sensitive to smells though:)

Pros

  • Hydrating and effective
  • Cute packaging
  • Accounts for hygiene
Cons
  • Has a slight off-putting scent
  • You must use it every night
My rating: 4/5

I feel like if you don't mind the extra step in your routine every night, it is a good choice for you. But if you feel it is too much for your 10 step very effective night routine, (like me), then maybe you should find another pot of gold. For me, I'm going to dig this pot of gold out before I switch to another pot of different gold:)

On to the Water Sleeping Mask! This is truly a gem! It is sooooo hydrating and you can feel your skin just absorbing the product the whole night! It is like a watery gel lotion kind of texture, with a little bit of blue color, which makes it look so soothing, and boy was it really soothing on my skin! Even if you left it on your table in room temperature, when you apply it to your face, it feels cool and watery. This is good for sensitive skin as well as it is water based, and there isn't any ingredients too aggressive or too strong. The scent is pleasant and just smells like water? That's the best way I could describe it. It stays on really well and doesn't transfer onto your pillow while you're sleeping or anything, and in the morning, you can really feel that your face has become smoother, firmer, and definitely not dry AT ALL! Again the packaging fits what the product looks like inside, and is very similar to the lip sleeping mask, where it has a matte blue bottle with a screw on cap.

Pros

  • Very hydrating = effective
  • Pleasant scent
  • Smooths, firms and soothes
Cons
  • I really cannot think of any...
My rating: 5/5!

I definitely recommend this product and I will definitely buy this again. Unless I find another that hydrates my oily and sensitive skin even better, this is what I will use for a while.

KAT VON D EVERLASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK REVIEW!!

I walked into Sephora the other day and couldn't resist looking at all the makeup! There were sooooo many! I know I sound like it's my first time in Sephora, but don't you feel excited every time you walk into an outlet or a store that sells cosmetic products? Especially one that has SO MANY brands! I was on a tight budget so instead of buying the whole store out, I settled with a lipstick. THIS lipstick to be exact:

The Packaging of the Lipstick
The Packaging and the Lipstick itself
Look at the packaging! It is so sleek and the design is gorgeous, as always! The color is in Lolita II (which means there is a Lolita), and isn't it such a pretty color? I'm so excited to try this out! Okay, I am taking photos and trying the product out for the first time as I am writing this, so you know this will definitely be what you most likely will feel when you use the lipstick for the first time:) Let's open it up!

This is what it looks like opened, it has a matte designed cap/holder, with an applicator to dip into the lipstick. The color is brownish and a little bit red or pinkish. It has a very warm tone to it.

Now look at the holder! Intricate design with professional black and silver color. It makes the product look so much more classy and beautiful. The applicator has a slanted flat tip that makes applying the lipstick so much easier. It is a little bit soft and applies smoothly!

This is the swatch you guys have been waiting for!! A super pigmented brownish color, very creamy and smooth and rich. I put it onto my lips and it feels so velvety and creamy! It applies so smoothly and easily that I worried that it would be a product that drops of or stains anything that touches my lips easily. Boy, was I wrong!!

Look at my lips after application! It is a little glossy from the lip balm but otherwise it is so matte and dries so quickly. When I touched my lips, there isn't any stain on my finger. The color is so natural too! They are supposed to be very long lasting as well! Due to the matte finish and quick drying, I really do believe that it will last a long time. Just be careful when you are eating anything oily or applying any lip balm. Any liquid will soften it up and cause it to drop slightly.

There is a total of 28 different shades in this line of product, and I am really considering getting the Double Dare one after watching the review of popular beauty youtuber bubzbeauty.

Now! The rating:)

Pros

  • Matte finish
  • Dries very quickly
  • High coverage/very pigmented
Cons
  • It could be a little drying (not suitable for dry lips)
  • A lip balm makes it easier to drop
Rating: 4.5/5

A definite repurchase!! How can I not? Even if it is drying and I have dry lips, I cannot escape the temptation of such beautiful colors. I wish I have the whole set of them! Even half a set is a dream come true hahahaha!

THE FACE SHOP CHARACTER MASK REVIEW + Raspberry Line&Lift Collagen Eye Patch + BeBe Lip Mask

Hey peeps! So I saw these The Face Shop Character Masks and I just had to try them!! They come in all sorts of animals like sheep, panda, dog, pig etc... I know good face masks are difficult to differentiate from not-as-good masks as they all are quite wet and hydrating no matter what, but this is what I think of these masks:

Look at these!!! Even the packaging looks so cute! Haha! This is the one I used:

Since my eyes and lips were a little bit dry, I put on an eye mask and a lip mask as well. These are the ones I used:

So the eye mask is The Face Shop's Raspberry Line & Lift Collagen Eye Patch, and the lip mask is The Face Shop's (agian!) BeBe Lip Mask.

The eye masks are put on like this

Eye mask + Lip mask

The Zebra Character Face Mask
Look at the mask that I have on! Isn't it so fun!! Haha!! The character showed so obviously and clearly you can tell I'm a zebra:) It is sooooo cute!!

Alright! Let's begin with the review! I would like to remind you people that my skin type is oily, and sometimes combination skin, and my skin is a little sensitive.

THE FACE SHOP CHARACTER MASK

So for the character face mask, it immediately feels hydrating right after putting it on. It has a little soothing effect as well. The mask doesn't shift too much, but it does feel like it would fall if you move around too much. I suggest a lying down position and just relax while putting on this mask:) After the 15 minutes were up, my face feels hydrated and a little firmer, smoother too! Because of the horse oil element in the ingredients, it really helps with the moisturizing and firming effect. I feel like it really does deliver what it claims to do and there were some increase in the elasticity of my skin too. When  I touched my face right after application, it was bouncing beautifully and feels so smooth! My skin definitely looks brighter and I feel a little bit perkier as well.

Pros

  • Moisturizing
  • Firming
  • Brightens up your skin
  • Smooths and soothes your skin
  • A good pick me up
  • Looks really cute and fun!
Cons
  • Slides around easily
My rating: 4.5/5

So don't be fooled by the fact that it's a character mask and think that its effectiveness is lower because the focus is on the cuteness level! It is really good, and I would definitely get it again. I mean, who doesn't want to have a cute, fun mask to put on while relaxing my skin in a perfectly effective hydrating condition?

THE FACE SHOP BEBE LIP MASK

The lip masks is the only on of the three that I ended up quite skeptical of. My lips were dry and when I applied the mask to my lips, it stung a little. My mum had dry lips that day too and she said her lips stung as well when she put the mask on. (I had a mask session with my mum and my sister ^.^) My sister, however, had no problems with dry lips and so she had no stinging feeling when she put on her mask. The packaging claimed to "turn dry and rough lips into smooth baby-like lips", and I thought it was made for dry lips. BUT it also said to discontinue if there were any signs of irritation. Well, I discontinued and my mum went with it. The result was that my mum's lips were fine and became a little smoother than before, but it had a very good effect on my sister's lips, making it truly very smooth and soft. The verdict:

Pros

  • Moisturizing
  • Smooths dry, rough lips to an extent
Cons
  • Seems to work better on lips without dry problems
  • Stings when you put it on
My rating: 3.5/5

This lip mask might be effective enough, but I would like to keep my eyes open for better choices.

Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control SPF 50+ PA+++ REVIEW!!

I have heard SO much about this Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control from so many youtubers and bloggers. In case you guys don't know yet, my skin type is oily, sometimes combination, and this cushion seemed like a lifesaver!

So this cushion claims to last long under sweaty and humid conditions, moisturizes and has a matte finish. It has 15g of product and has 8 shades. These are the ingredients:

Purified Water, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Cyclopentasiloxane, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Methyl Trimethicone, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Cyclohexasiloxane, Niacinamide, Nylon-12, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Pinus sylvestris Leaf Extract,  Dimethicone,  Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Magnesium Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Chloride, Stearic Acid, Silica, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Acrylates/Stearyl Acrylate/Dimethicone Methacrylate Copolymer, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate/Dimethicone Methacrylate Copolymer, Aluminum Hydroxide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Zinc Sulfate, Calcium Chloride, Chenopodium quinoa Seed Extract, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Peppermint Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Hydrolyzed Corn Starch, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow Oxide of Iron, Red Oxide of Iron, Black Oxide of Iron, Aromatics

This is what the cushion looks like on the top. It has a bright shiny, cover and it looks sleek and professional.

I got the 21C cool beige shade, it has 15g of product. This is what it looks like at the bottom, and if you look closely you can tell that the cushion is removable. The product comes with a refill as well.

This is what it looks like inside, it contains a blue sponge that's really soft and easy to use. It blends the product really well too. The whole thing is not too heavy and I think it is suitable to carry around in your purse or bag if you're going out.

Coverage is medium, but you can build it up to high. On the back of my hand here, on the right side is where I have applied the product. My hand looks less red, and more smooth. It has a semi matte finish, and is not too greasy. Now let's see how it looks on my face!

Before

After
These are the before and after photos on the same side of my face, As you can see some redness and spots are covered. By the way! The product was applied on my bare face without any base or concealer or anything. Like on my hand, it has a semi matte finish, and it really feels like it is not there at all after I apply it, and not like other products that makes me really conscious of it after application. It has a nice and mild floral scent which is very pleasant and not too overwhelming.

This cushion came with a refill and costs KRW34000 (I bought it in Korea). In Singapore you can find it in Laneige stores at S$59, or in Sephora. Online you can find it on lazada.sg, tangs.com and sephora.sg.

Pros

  • Good coverage
  • Good for oily or combination skin type as it is not greasy
  • Comfortable
  • It is hydrating enough and people with dry skin can use this as well

Cons
  • They do not have it in many dark shades
My rating is 4.5/5

I use this everyday when I go to work or school. I hope you guys like it too! Thank you for reading!!
